After Roland "Bunot" Abante's video
went viral on Youtube and the rumor about him being invited by Ellen DeGeneres
on her show became the talk of the town, the new social media
sensation had his first nationwide TV appearance on Gandang Gabi Vice on
November 30. Vice informed him that Vhong Navarro and Billy Crawford are his
fans, with which Bunot simply gave a smile. When asked whether Ellen
really invited him on her show, Bunot confirmed that his manager indeed
received the invitation.
But the streak of Bunot's popularity isn't only
limited in the Philippines. He is also crossing another ASEAN country, the
land of smiles - Thailand. Thai people are starting to take notice of his
singing prowess. His video singing "To Love Sombody" by the Bee Gees
was featured on 95.5 Virgin Hits, Bangkok's number one hit music station.
"He is good," Facebook user Natthaya Pitirattanapakon commented. And while others
simply liked and shared his video, most people urged him to join "The
Voice."
His video was featured on December 4, 2014 with
41, 146 likes at the time of posting.
