As smartphones continue to be locked in a battle for consumers' attention by creating unique features, HTC may add something soon they never intended of including in the first place.

"Bulletproof."

A robbery took a place at petrol station in Winter Garden, Florida early Monday morning. The suspect ordered two workers to open the safe but were unfortunate in doing so. Then, he fired a shot and left the store.

One of the clerks was shot in the abdomen but was able to cheat death or suffer serious injury. Thanks to his phone which stopped the bullet hence his life was saved, according to CNN.

"The clerk said, 'I feel like my chest hurts.' That’s when medical personnel started looking at him, realized the guy had actually shot at him, hit him, and the cell phone had stopped his bullet," said Winter Garden police Lt. Scott Allen.

The clerk who was shot was rushed to the hospital but was discharged shorty, as reported on CNN. However, his HTC phone suffered a lot as its screen was shattered with a bulllet lodged inside.
