Yolanda's aftermath may have shut the dreams of other people, but not for one family who loves music. Things are changing positively in accordance to what they are wishing their entire lives.
Popularly known as the "Beatles of the Philippines", REO Brothers composed of four Filipino siblings namely Reno, RJ, Raymart and Ralph Evasco Otic brought their bags and their guitar in search of a better future in Manila.
The Reo Brothers first captured the hearts of many Kapamilya viewers during ABS-CBN's Christmas Special "Kwento ng Pasko: Pag-Asa at Pagbangon" last December.
They thought nothing will follow after their little performance, but that little performance was in fact their ticket to the biggest performance of their lives.
Reo Brothers will perform alongside international sensations Jessica Sanchez, Jennifer Hudson, Apl.de.ap, Charice among others at New York's Madison Square Garden.
The concert entitled "Pinoy Relief" will benefit victims of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
"We are slowly achieving our dreams. At the same time, we are also helping our Kababayans who suffered from the typhoon," said Raymart,
"I can't believe this. We never thought we'll be able to come here because we were contented of what we have when we were in Tacloban," said RJ.
"I'm also hoping to have an album, be famous, our bonding to remain strong until we grow old, and to continue to play music," Ralph added.
The group arrived on Sunday and is scheduled to perform on Tuesday.
