Man dies of a heart attack while allegedly attempting "jumper" connection

A man believed to be hooking up an illegal power connection or popularly known as "jumper" died of a possible heart attack on the morning of July 8 near his home in Jose Abad Santos Avenue, Manila. He on up on electrical post when the attack occurred.

The body of the man, identified as Educardo Manggol, 43, was hanging limply over a power line. Onlookers were shocked as nobody was seen trying to free the man whom they believed had been electrocuted.
Manggol's body didn't have any burn marks when checked by Meralco personnel after they removed his hanging body from the power line using an electric lift ladder.
Manggol's family then said he may have had a heart attack.
When asked to explain why Manggol had climbed up the electric post, his sister, Evelyn Anggor, revealed that somebody must have forced her brother and paid him P200 to connect a "jumper."
Manggol's wife, who is six months pregnant, refused to give any comment.
Authorities reminded the public that it is dangerous and illegal to climb electric posts.
