Paulo Avelino and LJ Reyes both joined the bandwagon of celebrities calling it quits

After months of being mum about the status of their relationship, Avelino came out and confirmed that he and the mother of his son finally ended their relationship.

Single and Complicated?

“Complicated because, as you all know, I have a son. Ayaw ko na rin magbigay ng specific date, pero medyo (matagal na),”  he said in a  press conference for ABS-CBN’s newest teleserye “Honesto” on Thursday, October 24.

Paulo said the break up was decided and it was mutual. And he can see his son anytime he wants.

“Sinisiguro ko na meron akong oras para sa bata. Kapag wala akong ginagawa, I try as much as possible to spend it with him.”

(I'm making sure I have time for my kid. If I'm not doing anything, I try as much as possible to spend it with him)

The actor was also quick to deny the rumor about him being rushed to the hospital because he tried committing suicide.
“'Yung statement na binigay ng manager ko (Leo Dominguez), actually, iyon na rin 'yung sinabi ko sa manager ko. It’s not true. First of all, I’m here. And nung pumutok 'yung balita, I was working. Nagulat din ako. Nagising na lang ako, may tumatawag sa akin. (I said), ‘Andito lang ako, natutulog.”

(The statement my manager gave, actually, that's what I said to him too. It's not true. First of all, I'm here. And when the news came out, I was working. I was surprised. I woke up, and someone was calling. I said, I'm just here, sleeping)

When asked whether he's ready to fall in love again, the actor said:

“I wouldn't rush it. Pero kung ibibigay, kung may darating at kung mararamdaman ko, bakit hindi?”

(“I wouldn't rush it. But if given, if someone will come and if I will feel, why not?”)
