Senior citizen sex arranger busted by the police

A 70 year-old Japanese man was apprehended by the police over claims he arranged sexual encounters among people within his age range, or what we simply termed senior citizens.

Kiyohide Kurod allegedly placed advertisements on newspaper looking for "tea-drinking companions". He's been doing this business for around a decade before the police had his business stopped. He was taken into police custody last week.

Reports said Kuroda was behind the sex act of some 1,000 men and 350 women who were mostly in their sixties. He raked some 30 million yen ($310,000) as commission in breach of Japanese prostitution law.

"San Ai" (Three Loves) appeared in the classified ads section of the newspaper. It simply said looking for "tea-drinking companions" who were between 40 and older.

The oldest male "companion" he arranged for a meet up was 88 and the oldest woman was 82.

"I recruited tea-drinking companions as I did not wish to give the impression that mine was sex business. I thought people seeking prostitution understood what it meant," Kuroda reportedly told investigators.
