Surfer met his demise in a freaking accident

A freaking accident led to the death of Roy Ito Jr., a local surfer in Hawaii. The accident happened on Wednesday, and just like a regular surfer, Ito was wiped out many times. He got back up and started paddling away. Then the unthinkable happened.

Ito's body went limp and there was blood all over. Surfers nearby rushed to carry his body to the shore. He was taken immediately to Queen's Medical Center in Honolulu, but was later pronounced dead.

"He just wiped out," nearby surfer Zach Cui told Hawaii News Now. "He got on his board, did a couple of paddles and that was it. He just went limp."

It was reported that there were ten to fifteen surfers that were in the lineup who carried him back to the shore.

"Everyone was trying to help out," said Troy Okubo, a local surfer.

No official word yet from Honolulu Medical Examiner's office as to the cause of death of Ito, but surfers who saw what happened think it was the fin on his board that possibly severed an artery on his upper thigh.

"We think his skeg hit him because he was all bloody instantly," Okubo added.

The 52 year-old surfer met his demise at a spot known to the locals as "Straight Out."
