There were stories from different people sharing their experiences on Facebook over a different kind of "modus" from taxi drivers these past few days. According to them, the drivers usually target female passengers. And once passengers started to get a little comfortable on the seat, the drivers will then spray a kind of chemical to the taxi's air-conditioning system.
According to reports and testimonies of the victims, those who inhaled the chemical will lose their consciousness. And when they passed out, the drivers will then rob the passengers.
The Land Transportation Franchising & Regulatory Board (LTFRB) is now conducting their investigation after receiving reports from victims.

One complainant, a doctor, was able to get off the taxi.
The LTFRB said the name of the driver the complainant mentioned wasn't registered in their database.
Four to six reports have already been reported.
The agency is encouraging those who experienced the same "modus" from taxi drivers to have the incident reported either by giving a call or sending a message to the LTFRB's hotlines: 0921-448-777, and 426-2515.
