The third in line to the British throne was baptized at the Chapel Royal of St James's palace.

The guest attendees in the exclusive ceremony were Queen Elizabeth, William's younger brother Prince Harry, and 20 others, including seven newly-named godparents.

Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury and the spiritual head of the world's Angelicans, officiated the christening. The water that was poured onto the baby's head came from the River Jordan.

"He's all ready," William, 31, told the assembled party referring to his son. "So far so good," he added.

The ceremony welcomes Prince George into the Church of England, which he is destined to lead as future king and "Defender of the Faith".

The ceremony was indeed a very special moment for the British Royal Family.
