Cebu Pacific's Airbus A320 plane bound for Legazpi was forced to return to Manila on Friday due to technical problems.
The airline's 5J 323 departed Manila at 7:59 a.m. at runway 13-31 of the Manila Domestic Airport. However, minutes after it took off, Manila Control Tower was informed by the pilot that he would return to Manila due to technical problems.
Vince Oreta of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) Operations Center said the plane touched down at 8:36 a.m.
Its passengers were then asked to get off the plane and they stayed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 while the aircraft was being fixed.
Oreta said the flight later departed Manila at around 11:15 a.m.
The management of Cebu Pacific, meanwhile, apologized to the affected passengers.
However, they did not explain the problems encountered by the Airbus A320 plane.
